FEROCACTUS FLAVOVIRENS

Solitary at first, similar to other Ferocactus, larger, also with numerous ribs and spines. Flower can be funnelform with yellow to yellowish-red. Use very draining soil, water during the growing season. But allowed to dry before watering again also kept drier in Winter. Take note:  it’s necessary to avoid wetting the bodies of these plants while they are in sunlight. A wet cactus in the sunlight can cause sun burning which can lead to many problems. It needs a bright exposure, part shade in summer.
