Huernia hybrid (S1) is a hybrid type. There is a lot of different hybrid in the world and also 80 species in this family. It is the short stem and clump-forming succulents, low-growing plants, form clusters, and star-shaped flowers. In winter all Huernia hybrid charge colors to become red/brown. Filtered sunlight is best for these plants and rests them in winter with less watering. Regularly watering in their growing season is required. Pot in cactus mixed with extra perlite or pumice. A gritty, very free-draining compost is suitable, and clay pots help the plants to dry out between watering. Re-pot every 2 years.
Planting Plant
Watch your plants for the first couple of months to check if they are happy where they are.
If they look like growing out of shape, they require more sunlight. Burning is a common fact when having new plants. Best to gradually give them more sunlight as the weeks go by. Instead of placing it in straight sunlight.
Allow them to sit for a week before giving them a good drink. Depending on the season. Make sure they dry out completely before watering again. Don’t forget to give them a spray with soapy water to keep the bugs off them. And provide very good ventilation.
