OROSTACHYS ERUBESCENS

It is a monocarpic perennial herb with leaves in tight offsetting rosettes. The thin leaves change in color from green to bronzy-purple. Once rosette flowers, it dies, just like hens-and-chicks (Sempervivum Tectorum), but again, plenty of younger rosettes are left to keep the plant going.  This is a seasonal succulent will died back in winter to nearly nothing and come back in spring to last spring each year. IT IS VERY IMPORTANT NOT TO THROW OUT THE POT. Water the plants well and allow them to dry before watering again. As it requires good drainage to avoid root rot. Mostly the shaded cool areas or filtered sunlight is best with good airflow. More sunlight you give will bring out the color in the plant. But can be sunburned if exposed to full sunlight.
