Madagascar Palm has a stout trunk that is solitary and columnar. It is a fairly slow-growing plant, best to do place in a large pot or garden as it gets older. The leaves are green and thin long, thick roots systems. These plants tend to lose their leave also go dormant in winter in temperate climate areas. The flowers can be salverform, white with a yellow center, attractive also nice smelling. It flowers in spring to early summer, on and off through all the warm months. It requires full sun to light shade with warm temperatures. It needs regular water in its growing period then tapers off to light watering in its dormant period. The soil should be good drainage to avoid rotting.
