It is a globular cactus which became elongate when old, solitary, look like a brain with spines. Grows slowly and requires filtered sunlight also when it is older can take full sunlight per day. Need a well-drained soil mix with small gravel added to ensure drainage. It should be watered regularly in Summer allowing to dry before watering again and kept drier in Winter.
